For years, Charlevoix has complied with an important Regulatory Water Safety Compliance Program known as Cross-Connection Control.
Until recently, this State Mandated Program focused on non-residential (commercial) water service connections and onsite visual inspections (coordinated and performed by HydroCorp of Troy, MI) to identify potentially harmful interconnections to the Charlevoix Public Water Supply. Our residential program will begin December 2022. A HydroCorp surveyor (with identification vest and badge) will conduct an on-site exterior inspection of residential outdoor spigots.
Residents will receive a notification prior to the visit, and will not need to be present during the inspection.
