Dock Information
Seasonal Dockage
The City of Charlevoix has eight seasonal slips to be rented with the following stipulations:
- Four slips will be allocated for non-tax paying or non-resident boat owners.
- Four slips will be allocated for tax-paying or resident boat owners.
- The City also has two commercial seasonal slips.
Please fill out the Seasonal Dockage Application (PDF) and return it to the Recreation Department. New applications are placed at the bottom of the list. If contacted and offered slip and boater refuses, they are moved to bottom of list. The deposit is also non-refundable when the applicant voluntary withdraws from the waiting list.
The City reserves the right to permit other boat owners to utilize the slip at any time during which the seasonal boater is not utilizing the slip. The seasonal boater shall provide 24 hours notice to the City when he plans to re-occupy the slip after a period of absence.
Right of Refusal
A seasonal boater has the right of first refusal for a seasonal slip the following year. Download the Seasonal Dockage Application (PDF).
Dinghy Dockage
The City of Charlevoix offers seasonal dockage for dinghies and jet skis at the marina. The City Council sets the fees on an annual basis. Download the Dinghy Dockage Application (PDF).
Burns Street Dock
The City of Charlevoix owns a small dock at the foot of Burns Street. There are four slips for boats less than 22 feet. The dock is very shallow and is accessible from the foot of Burns Street. An annual lottery is held to determine who gets the slips. Dockage rates are set by City Council on an annual basis.
