Call 911
In 1997 the Charlevoix City Police Department joined with 13 other police agencies in the counties of Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet (CCE). A regional Central Dispatch Center was formed, to better serve the needs of Northern Michigan.
All emergency services are dispatched from the CCE facility in Emmet County. This includes Police, Fire, and Ambulance services.
Notice
911 is used as an emergency and non-emergency number. There is ample staff to handle all emergency and non-emergency calls. Please use this number to contact our officers for any reason, at anytime throughout the day and night.

Smart911 & Be Alert Notifications
The successful partnership of CCE 911 and CCE Operations Emergency Management (OEM) has paid off in a new notification system to better inform residents in the event of an emergency.
Be Alert
"Be Alert" which is on the Smart911 platform, is now available to all residents and visitors in the tri-county area. This free service allows individuals to sign up for notifications sent from local authorities. The notifications will keep residents and travelers informed on potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, Mackinac Bridge openings/closings and other emergencies.
Be Alert enables authorities to notify the community in real time. This service allows for critical communication with the public and provides individuals with the information needed to stay safe or take precautions during hazardous or emergency situations. The timely alerts can be sent via email, text or voice message to cell phones.
