New Airport Manager

The City of Charlevoix has named Brian Ewalt as Airport Manager for the Charlevoix Municipal Airport.   Brian has an extensive background in airport operations and management. He holds a degree in aviation science from Western Michigan University and worked in operations and communications for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids and assistant director of operations and maintenance at the Willard Airport in Champaign, Illinois. Please join us in welcoming Brian to his new role and to our community! 

Voluntary Quiet Hours

The established voluntary quiet hours will be 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily and during these times, pilots and operators are encouraged to limit their flights so that people in the neighboring community are not disturbed during sleeping hours.

Preferred Runway Usage 

For all aircraft landing between the hours of 11 p.m. & 7 a.m. runway 09 is preferred.

For all aircraft departing between the hours of 11 p.m. & 7 a.m. runway 27 is preferred.

Reporting Concerns

If you have been disturbed by airport noise, please contact Brian Ewalt,  Airport Manager to report your concerns. When reporting concerns, please include as much detail about the time of the concern as possible.
